SEATTLE, WA (March 1, 2007) — PRR, a nationally recognized Seattle-based social marketing and communications firm was recently honored with a Totem Award, two Certificates of Excellence and the Outstanding Young PR Professional of the Year Award by the Puget Sound chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). These awards, which recognize outstanding strategic public relations planning and execution, were presented to PRR during the annual Totem Awards held Feb. 8, 2007.

PRR earned a 2007 Totem Award for its work on the Sara Gabriel Custom Veiling and Headpieces campaign. In addition, account manager Joy Radford was appointed the PRSA Puget Sound Chapter's Outstanding Young PR Professional of the Year for her exceptional work on this program. The prestigious Young Professional Award is given annually to a local professional with less than three years of experience. Radford secured numerous national media placements and helped establish national brand awareness for Sara Gabriel Custom Veiling and Headpieces, a Denver-based company that specializes in high-end, custom-made veils and headpieces. Radford's work on the project garnered over $1 million in media value, with a return on investment of over 8,400 percent.

PRR also earned two Certificates of Excellence. The first was for its work on Clean Air Partners. PRR developed and executed a successful outreach campaign to establish Clean Air Partners as the leading authority on air quality issues. PRR also earned a Certificate of Excellence for its work on Northwest Weightloss Surgery. PRR developed a marketing and media relations campaign to promote Lap Band surgery, a reversible bariatric surgical option that is ten times safer than gastric bypass surgery.
