CDC Signs Seven Year Contract with PRR

SEATTLE, WA (April 13, 2007) — Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently selected PRR to provide strategic marketing and public relations support for its ongoing and future outreach programs. Over the next seven years, PRR will be eligible to bid for communications contracts worth up to $10 million per year.

CDC raises awareness about programs ranging from injury prevention to pandemic flu preparedness. CDC is at the forefront of public health efforts to prevent and control infectious and chronic diseases, injuries, workplace hazards, disabilities, and environmental health threats.

"PRR is proud to be chosen by CDC, particularly as we are the only West-Coast based communications firm on their roster," said Rita Brogan, CEO of PRR. "Our past work with CDC has been exciting and rewarding and we look forward to further collaborating with them on effective communications strategies."

PRR will now have the opportunity to work closely with CDC on many projects, including the possibility of developing a communications plan to expand the influence of the current National HIV/AIDS Partnership. This project would include recruiting new communications partners and developing innovative outreach to racial and ethnic minority communities.

PRR was one of a select group of firms chosen by CDC following a competitive year-long review.
