PRR Announces Three New Hires
SEATTLE, WA (November 16, 2007) — PRR, a Seattle-based public affairs and communications firm, recently announced three new hires that have been added to the staff to meet the needs of a growing list of clients. PRR welcomes Andrea Wedderburn, media relations account director, Susan Hoffman, senior associate and Miles Pomeroy, IT manager.

Andrea Wedderburn joins PRR as the new media relations account director. With more than eight years of experience, she has overseen public relations, corporate communications, and crisis communications for consumer, government, technology, and non-profit organizations. At PRR, she provides media relations support for: Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Washington Traffic Safety Commission. She joins PRR after leading a private consulting firm, focusing on high-tech PR. Previously, as a senior account executive at Manning, Selvage and Lee, her clients included Motorola, Honeywell, the U.S. Army, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, and the League of Women Voters. Andrea received her Bachelors of Arts from Denison University in Ohio.
Susan Hoffman brings more than nine years of unique experience as a public policy analyst in the public sector to PRR. She is proficient at analyzing programs and issues and developing and communicating workable solutions, and will be managing special projects as part of PRR's public information team for WSDOT's I-405 Congestion Relief and Bus Rapid Transit projects. The majority of her experience has been with the U.S. Government Accountability Office, where she worked on a wide ranging group of policy issues including transportation, health care, forestry, cargo shipping, food aid programs, and the U.S. Navy. Her most recent experience was as the manager of the Transportation Issues Group in GAO's New York Regional Office, where her team developed recommendations to Congress on seat belt safety, Amtrak Northeast Corridor financing, and highway construction financing. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Political Science from the University of Washington, and a Masters of Public Policy from the Graduate School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington.
Miles Pomeroy, IT Manager, brings strong network administration experience and problem solving abilities to PRR. His experience with hardware and software technical support over the last five years as a programmer and information technology manager make it possible for PRR staff to have total access to state-of-the-art services to help serve clients. As an IT manager at a private company in California, Pomeroy was responsible for managing more than 50 users in three locations and handled all IT maintenance and infrastructure upgrades. At PRR, he is responsible for design, implementation, and administration of servers, desktops, and the network. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional for both Microsoft Windows® XP Professional and Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Miles earned a Bachelor of Science in math and computer science at Loyola University Chicago. He has continued his education taking classes at Santa Barbara City College focusing on Microsoft system administration and Cisco networking.
