SEATTLE, WA (February 13, 2008) — PRR, a Seattle-based public affairs and communications firm, recently announced the addition of two new staff members to help meet the needs of a growing list of clients. Stephen Peer joins PRR as senior associate and Niki Herr joins as account manager.

"Steve will be a terrific addition to our transportation staff serving the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). We look forward to having Niki in our expanding Washington DC office." said Rita Brogan, PRR CEO. "They will complement our existing staff and will help us serve our clients even better."

Steve Peer will handle WSDOT construction communications for the Interstate 405 project. He will coordinate all communications-related activities for the northern portion of the construction along I-405, keeping motorists, residents and local businesses along that route up to date on progress and activities. He comes to PRR after more than 12 years with Pemco Financial Services, where he served as a communications lead, supervisor, event planner and adjustor. At Pemco, Peer focused on project management, marketing, public relations, promotion and brand development. Peer holds a Bachelors degree in public communication and human relations from Western Illinois University.

Niki Herr brings more than four years of experience planning comprehensive marketing and communications strategies for products, brands and membership-based organizations. In PRR's Capitol Region/Washington, DC office she will manage marketing efforts for Clean Air Partners and lend her expertise in viral marketing and social networking to Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) ENERGY STAR program and the Baltimore Metropolitan Council's regional traffic safety campaign. Herr was corporate marketing manager for Flexcar and created the university marketing program for the membership-based car sharing service. She also served as marketing and public relations manager at Avilar, Inc, a software and consulting company in Maryland. She graduated from the University of Richmond's Robins School of Business with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and is a member of the American Marketing Association.
