SEATTLE, WA (August 1, 2008) — Mike Rosen has been named managing principal at PRR, a full-service, communications, marketing and community-building firm based in Seattle. Denise Walz will assume Rosen's former role as the director of the marketing and media relations practice. The promotions were announced today by CEO Rita Brogan as part of the company's expansion plans to meet the needs of PRR's growing client list.

Rosen will be responsible for spearheading PRR's overall client services including marketing, media relations, graphics, community building and research as well as PRR's D.C. office. Walz will manage and lead the firm's marketing and media relations groups. Brogan will continue in the role of CEO, focusing on overall strategy and business development.

With more than 37 years in the industry, Rosen has created and executed scores of national, regional and local campaigns across multiple communication disciplines. Rosen is a nationally-recognized marketing innovator and strategist. He is credited for pioneering many of the approaches currently used in social marketing including behavior modification and market transformation programs. Rosen has worked with renowned clients including Coinstar, Nike, Philips Sonicare, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, King County, Pacific Gas and Electric and many state and municipal government agencies.

With more than 20 years in the industry, Walz creates and manages programs that leverage funds and resources to deliver results. She is experienced at managing high profile events, building strategic alliances, partnerships, negotiations and program recruitment for a variety of private and public sector clients. She has negotiated contracts with corporations such as The Walt Disney Company, AOL, Gannett, Comedy Central, Home Depot and more. Previously, Walz spent five years in Washington, D.C. building and growing PRR's Capitol Region practice. She currently works with clients including Remington, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, King County and the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments.
