PRR Announced as WTS Puget Sound Chapter’s Employer of the Year

March 31, 2017

We’re pleased to announce we’ve been awarded the Small Employer of the Year award by The Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Puget Sound Chapter!

The award recognizes our policies in support of families, businesses and the economy through our work with transportation projects and programs in the Puget Sound. These projects are transforming the way we think about and use transportation – from freeways, roadways, and busways to runways, guideways, and waterways. The award also recognizes our internal and external leadership to empower women’s professional and economic success.

Recently, PRR’s leadership voted unanimously to enact a paid family and medical leave policy that is exceptionally progressive, particularly for a company with less than 100 employees. PRR also transitioned from a single owner business to a women-owned and employee-owned business, with three female Co-Presidents and female-led Board of Directors.  PRR also works on projects that improve the lives of women, including for client Moms Rising, who we’re deeply honored to say nominated us for this award.

PRR is proud to have a long history of recognition from, and involvement with, WTS. Previously, PRR founder, Rita Brogan, was honored in 2015 with WTS Puget Sound Chapter’s Woman of the Year award for her contributions toward advancing women and minorities in transportation. PRR also has three employees currently on the board of WTS.

WTS seeks to close the workforce gap in the global transportation industry by promoting lifelong careers in transportation for women. By attracting, retaining, and advancing women in the industry, WTS International will be the industry’s most recognized worldwide network of transportation subject matter experts.
