Community Engagement
LinkedIn Icon

I work to amplify the needs, desires, and concerns of community members to decision-makers within their respective cities with the goal of fostering more inclusive and accessible communities. I see community engagement as a form of user research, as I work to build and maintain relationships within communities to understand issues affecting their well-being. Growing up around the Puget Sound, my work at PRR aligns with my goals of making a positive impact within the community that raised me and improving cities for current and future generations. I strive to understand why and how people engage with technology, which led me to be a part of multiple research organizations. Most recently at UW KidsTeam, I co-designed with children to understand how AI can help/hinder interpersonal collaboration between youth. Outside of work, you can find me thrifting, exploring antique shops, taking film photos of my friends around the city, and perfecting my homemade lattes.

Vision statement of anti-racism.

An anti-racist PRR dismantles systems of advantage based on race when and wherever possible. We engage staff of all racial identities in dismantling white supremacy culture at work. This  includes personal ideologies, beliefs, and behaviors. And, it includes removing white supremacy culture from the systems, cultural messages, institutional policies, procedures, and practices that PRR and our staff interact with and inform. We believe it is not enough to be “not racist.” We must be “anti-racist.”
