I direct our Mid-Atlantic Region practice, leading projects that improve the lives of communities from Norfolk to Washington, DC, to the entire country. Over the years I've worked with many national game-changers including EPA's ENERGY STAR program, the D.C. Department of Transportation’s D.C. Streetcar, and the Elizabeth River Tunnels project in Norfolk. I love to volunteer my time to support local DC improvement projects like 11th Street Bridge Park, Anacostia River Keepers, and the D.C. Waterfront. And when I'm not doing that, you'll find me playing at the park with my toddler or planning my next interior decorating project.
An anti-racist PRR dismantles systems of advantage based on race when and wherever possible. We engage staff of all racial identities in dismantling white supremacy culture at work. This includes personal ideologies, beliefs, and behaviors. And, it includes removing white supremacy culture from the systems, cultural messages, institutional policies, procedures, and practices that PRR and our staff interact with and inform. We believe it is not enough to be “not racist.” We must be “anti-racist.”
