My work is all about helping community members and stakeholders work with clients to make projects better, and to increase the positive impact of projects, often in ways that would have been impossible to guess before involving the public. Outside of work and family, I use my fundraising and writing skills to help small non-profits pursue the resources they need to affect change in our community, recently helping one group raise over $200,000 to support after-school leadership development programs for refugee and immigrant youth. More than anything, I love to spend time with my family. This could include cooking with my husband, Pietro, working together to help our tween and teen kids pursue their passions, and generally goofing off together.

As a Senior Technical Project Manager and Web Developer at PRR, I oversee the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of websites for our clients. Beyond development, my role involves managing project timelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our digital solutions meet and exceed client expectations. What invigorates me about my job is the fusion of technical execution and project management. Also, the work here is purpose-driven, and it's rewarding to contribute to projects that have meaningful social impact. My passion for community engagement and sustainable living extend outside of PRR, where I teach student web development bootcamps and participate in cycling and hiking events focused on environmental awareness. As an avid traveler who lived abroad for two years, I appreciate the opportunity to explore new cultures and landscapes. I also enjoy snowboarding, hiking, and cycling.

I serve as a consultant construction communicator for the WSDOT I-405/SR 167 Program, providing counsel, creating materials, managing social media, and conducting outreach for active construction projects along the corridor. Construction is something visual, which means I can see progress in the community and eventually benefits to the travelers and people I’ve engaged for years to come. Giving back to my community is always important, which is why I regularly volunteer in my community food banks to help reduce food insecurity. Otherwise, I’m usually cooking, reading, or visiting the zoo with my partner and my animal-loving child!

I provide collaboration and leadership for creative design solutions, with expertise that includes creating engaging and beautiful branding, print collateral, newsletters, digital ads, web pages, and brochures. I'm obsessed with prioritizing user and audience needs, with a passion for projects that have meaning, improve quality of life, and shape the future in exciting ways. The last few years have brought me a passion for growing food and the whole-person healing that comes from being in nature—and I love to share the experience with others. Recently I  spent time volunteering at King County farms and community gardens, as well as those in Southern California and Arizona. I also love hiking, making a delicious mess in the kitchen, and falling asleep in a hammock with a book on my face.

I provide spoken Mandarin and Cantonese, as well as written simplified and traditional Chinese language services at PRR. When I ensure messages from our government clients are accurate and timely, I’m also helping Chinese communities stay informed and engaged in what’s happening around them. In my spare time, I volunteer at school events, practice Chinese calligraphy, and walk with my lovely corgi.

I pride myself in my over-the-top organizational skills, which I use to keep my projects on time, on task, and on budget. I love examining each project’s goals and determining unique and interesting ways to get us to success. PRR is a family atmosphere, a place where you know that everyone genuinely cares about you. I love that I get to work on projects that make me feel proud, and that are bettering our world. If I’m not in the office, I’m with my two kids, my husband, our cat and our dog. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and rooting on the Seahawks!

As a community engagement specialist at PRR, my role is to help community members and organizations work with our clients to improve project outcomes. This involves translating technical information into words people can understand when we’re talking and in writing. And a lot of listening. I love having the opportunity to use engagement for early identification and resolution of potential problems, and for building trust between clients and the public. I’m always looking for ways to make civic engagement fun, whether that’s hosting a Drink and Vote event with friends (it’s just like it sounds) or making an art project out of neighborhood meeting attendance. In my personal time, I like to try my hand at new recipes, read sci-fi fantasy novels, and hike in the Cascades.

I help our clients connect with and gather information from the communities affected by projects and planning efforts. Working for PRR allows me to support and engage my community on a human level and the opportunity to build bridges between our clients and our community every day! I believe that the work we do in supporting our clients is bettering the lives of everyone. Prior to the pandemic, I dedicated a portion of my time to volunteering in the Capitol Hill neighborhood with various organizations providing outreach services to homeless adults in the area. In my free time, I enjoy building Legos, watching anime, and spending time with my loved ones!

I work to amplify the needs, desires, and concerns of community members to decision-makers within their respective cities with the goal of fostering more inclusive and accessible communities. I see community engagement as a form of user research, as I work to build and maintain relationships within communities to understand issues affecting their well-being. Growing up around the Puget Sound, my work at PRR aligns with my goals of making a positive impact within the community that raised me and improving cities for current and future generations. I strive to understand why and how people engage with technology, which led me to be a part of multiple research organizations. Most recently at UW KidsTeam, I co-designed with children to understand how AI can help/hinder interpersonal collaboration between youth. Outside of work, you can find me thrifting, exploring antique shops, taking film photos of my friends around the city, and perfecting my homemade lattes.

With nearly two decades of public-sector experience, I’ve had the privilege of shaping communications strategies across a wide spectrum of fields, including transportation, public health, social services, and higher education. At PRR, I specialize in crafting messaging that not only informs but inspires. My goal is to empower the public to become active participants in shaping the projects that impact their lives, fostering a deeper understanding and genuine engagement. I thrive on presenting complex information in ways that are accessible, relevant, and impactful—because everyone deserves to have their voice heard and their contributions valued. Beyond my role at PRR, I proudly serve as a member of the Tumwater City Council, where I channel my passion for community connection and public service. I’m deeply committed to creating spaces where people don’t just fit in—they truly belong. This principle informs every communication and engagement plan I help develop, ensuring inclusivity and empowerment remain at the heart of everything I do. When I’m not busy crafting strategies or serving my community, you’ll find me enjoying my lifelong love of music. As a child of the ‘80s, my playlists are an eclectic mix of Prince, Def Leppard, Beyoncé, Chappell Roan, and Kendrick Lamar. During the fall and early winters, Sundays are for football (and occasional tears) at Lumen Field or from my couch, where I cheer on the Seahawks. At home, I share life’s adventures with my husband, our three adorable fur babies—Lily, Lola, and Teddy—and a wonderfully blended family of six adult children who are making their own way in the world.

At PRR, I serve as a bilingual representative who interacts with community members from all backgrounds and to inform and respond to questions about projects impacting their respective communities. What I love most about PRR is that communication throughout the agency is both transparent and focused, and the projects we support are purpose-driven. Outside of work, I've volunteered at retirement homes, as well as within inner city neighborhoods to connect them with rural areas and farm life. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my kids and family, as well as playing sports and camping.

I lead communications, public outreach, and marketing projects that improve the lives of communities from coast to coast. My work has sparked creative strategy and engaged audiences for EPA’s ENERGY STAR program, by helping consumers and building owners save energy and informing the redevelopment of a multi-use park facility park that serves the community’s needs while providing a solution to water infrastructure demands. I am passionate about tackling large-scale public initiatives that are ambitious in scope, particularly in the areas of air and water quality, energy, climate adaption, and coastal resiliency. Whether successfully advocating for public accessibility of information or elevating the issue of food waste and eliminating lead from drinking water, I find joy in bringing innovation to strategic communications and social marketing campaigns that connect the dots between what motivates opinion leaders to act and the positive change we seek to achieve. And when I'm not doing that, you'll find me chasing my kids around Old Town Alexandria, VA or planning my next interior design project.

Vision statement of anti-racism.

An anti-racist PRR dismantles systems of advantage based on race when and wherever possible. We engage staff of all racial identities in dismantling white supremacy culture at work. This  includes personal ideologies, beliefs, and behaviors. And, it includes removing white supremacy culture from the systems, cultural messages, institutional policies, procedures, and practices that PRR and our staff interact with and inform. We believe it is not enough to be “not racist.” We must be “anti-racist.”
